CREATING TEE POSITION OF "OFFICE ENGINEER" IN
THE STREEr DEPARTMENT. u THE CITY OF ALAMEDA,
PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES AND FIXING THE SALARY
THEREOF.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, as follows
Section 1. The

ffice Engineer" is hereby created and
established in the Street Department of the City of Alameda.
Section 2. The duties of the position of Office Engineer and of the
person holding such position shall be as follows:
Under general direction of the City Engineer, to perform engineering
work with a wide latitude for independent actions and decisions: to plan and
direct the design and preparation of drawings, specifications and estimates;
to manage general office operation and routine; and to perform other work as
required or directed.
Section 3. The salary for the position of Office Engineer he, and is
hereby fixed as fellows:
Pon the first year, 400. per month on the basis of a 40-hour work
week, effective February 1, 1947;
For the second year, "415, per month on the basis of a 40-hour work
week;
For the third year, 43O. per month on the basis of a 40-hour work week.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in adjourned regular meeting assembled on the 8th day of May, 1947, by the fol-
lowing vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney a nd President
Branscheld, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
