PLAN'S FOR CONSTRUCTION OF STORM. WATER DISPOSAL.
SYSTEM, WEBSTER. STREET NORTH OF TYNAN 11511 N'1131
CALLING FOR 131135 AND DIRECTING THE CITY. CLENH
TO ADVERTISE SANE.
WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require the construction of a storm
water disposal system in Webster Street north. of Tynan. Avenne, the installation of
manheles and catch basins, and any other work incidental to said cons truction; and
anfoas, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for said work, which Specifications and Provisions are nRmbered PVJ 5-47-3
and were filed in the office of the City. Clerk of said City- on May. 20, 1047:
NOW, THEREFORE, hE IT RESOLVED BY THE CO4TVCI14 OF THE CITY 05 ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and F. ans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby, appr oved. and. adopted.
RESOLVED. F=FER, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and. the same Is hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City. of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 3 :05 o'clock, P. M., on Tuesday, June 3, 1947, for
the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and processes
implements, tools and machine ry, except as otherwise specified, necessary for the
work hereinafter referred to, in accordance with said Specifications and Provisions.
Bids must be presented to the City. Clerk, in the City Hall, in Alameda, California,
under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Construction of
Storm.. Sewer, Webster Street North of Tynan Avenue," or..similar designation -
Contract, If awarded, will be awarded, subject to the provisions of the
Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best
bid- The right Is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
orl . application. to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Rail, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star
a notice calling for sealed bids in. accordance with the provisions of this resolu-
tion and of said Specifications and Provisions.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution. was duly
and regularly. introduced and adopted by the Council. of the City of Alameda in. regu-
lar meeting asserbled on the 20th.. day of Yay, 1947, by the foliewing vote, to wit:
