ADOPTING DOPECIFICATIONS AND pRovasIns FOR RESURFACING
AND REPAIR. OF ASPHALT AND BITUMINOUS RTIVENENT FOR TEE
FISCAL -YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1948, CALLING FOR BIDS AND
DIRECTING CITY CLERK. 110 ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require the resurfaCIng and repair
of asphalt and bituminous pavement In streets of the City of Alameda; and
WHaRII%S, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications and Provisions for
resurfacing and repair of asphalt and bituninoue pavement for the fiscal year endinp;
June 30, 1946, which. Specifications and Provisions are numbered PVI 6-47-8 and were
filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City' on June 3, 1947;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE COUN-C11, OF TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA. that
the aforesaid. Specifications and Prowl:pions, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be,
and the same are hereby approved. and. adopted-
RESOLVED, ITHICIEHZ, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in. said Specifications and Provisions he and the same is hereby, authorized
RESOLVED, FuTffiffm, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed. bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'clock, P. MC., on Tuesday June 17, 1947, for
the furnishing to the City of all. labor, material and equipment „necessary for resur-
facing and repairing asphalt and bituminous pavement in. the streets of the City of
Alameda. for the fiscal -year ending June 30, 1948, in accordance with said Specifica-
tions and Provisione. Bide must be presented to the City Clerk, in. the City Hall,
in. Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside "Pro-
posal for Asphalt and Bituminous Pavement," or similar designation-
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded, subject to the provisions of the
Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best
bid- The right is reserved to reject any or all. bids.
Said Specifications and Provisionz may be had by any prospective bidder

California.
The City' Clerk. Is hereby directed. to advertise, in Lie Alameda Times-Star,
notice calling for sealed bids In accordance with the provlsioes of this resolu-
