AUTHORIZING GRANT OF A NON-EXCLUSIVE UTILITY EASEMENT
FROM THE CITY OF ALAMEDA TO AT&T WITHIN THE SAN LEANDRO
CHANNEL
WHEREAS, AT&T proposes installation of approximately 1,000 feet of high-
density polyethylene conduit beneath the San Leandro Channel to provide much needed
capacity to meet current and future fiber service demands on Bay Farm Island, and
WHEREAS, AT&T has requested a fifty-foot (50') wide non-exclusive easement
along a portion of Section 19 Township 2 South, Range 3 West, to facilitate installation
and maintenance of the proposed service pipes, and
WHEREAS, an Easement Agreement has been entered between the City and
AT&T to operate, maintain, and repair the facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk, be,
and each hereby is, authorized and directed to execute and attest to, respectively, on
behalf of the City of Alameda, a grant of said easement to AT&T, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall cause certified copies of
this resolution, attested under seal, to be recorded in the County Recorder's Office.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting
assembled on the 17th day of May, 2016, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, Ezzy Ashcraft, Matarrese, Oddie
and Mayor Spencer — 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
