YEAR 1947-48; APPROPRIATING CERTAIN' WNEYS FOR
THE EXPENDITURES PROVIDED IN 13 [3 BUDGET:FOB.
SAID FISCAL: YEAH, AND RATIFYING CERTAIN.

WHEREAS, there has been. submitted to, and filed. with, this Council, at
this meeting, a budget representing a financial plan for conducting the affairs
of the City of Alameda for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1947, and ending June
0, 1948, which budget is marked, "Filed. with the City Clerk in open. meeting of
the City Council, September 2, 1947";
NUN, THEREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED BY" THE COUNCIL OF TUE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that sai(1 . budget as submitted to this Couneil. at this meetin, and each and every
part the be, and the same is hereby, approved and adopted as the budget for
the City. of Alameda for the fiscal year 1947-48, and that the expenditures of the
various sums of money therein provided to be spent for each specific purpose, and
the several purposes therein set forth for which such. expenditures are provided. to
be made during the said fiscal.. year be, and the same are hereby, approved and. au-
thorized.
BE TT FURTHER. RESOLVED that there be, and are hereby, approoriated for
the fiscal year 1947-48, for the purpose of meeting the coot of salaries and wages
paid. officers and employees, the cost of maintdnanee, operation, and for equipment
and other capital outlay of the respective departments, divisions, offices and
boards of the City, and for all other purposes designated in said budget for the
respective purposes of the said departments, divisions, offices and boards of the
City, and for such special funds and other purposes designated Ifl . said budget; and
BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of the appropriations he provided for
are made out of the General. Fund for the fiscal year.1947-46, except those made to
or for purposes for which special funds are established, and as to such last men
tioned. purposes said appropriations are made out of the special funds respectively
established therefor.
BE 137 HAMER RESOLVED that such expenditures as may- have been made by
the several departments, divisions, offices and boards of the Cib y.. after the be-
ginning of the fiscal. year 1947-48, and prior to the adept:ion of this resolution,
anU have been or may be duly approved. by the City Auditor, are hereby ratified,
confirmed and aeproved, and shall be respectively charged against the appropriations
herein and In said budget provided for
