APPROVING TWO WORKFORCE CHANGES AT ALAMEDA
MUNICIPAL POWER: DELETE ONE POSITION, SENIOR ACCOUNT
CLERK; ADD ONE NEW POSITION, UTILITY INFORMATION
SYSTEMS BILLING SPECIALIST; AND AMEND THE SALARY
SCHEDULE OF ELECTRIC UTILITY PROFESSIONALS OF
ALAMEDA (EUPA) TO RETITLE ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR TO
ENGINEERING MANAGER
WHEREAS, in order to provide a workforce that is appropriately allocated,
classified and compensated at Alameda Municipal Power workforce change are needed;
and
WHEREAS, to meet service demands related to system upgrades and projects
the Public Utilities Board recommended at its regular meeting on January 23, 2017 that
the City Council delete one Senior Account Clerk position, add one Utility Information
Systems Billing Specialist position, retitle Engineering Supervisor to Engineering
Manager; and amend the salary schedule of the Electric Utility Professionals of
Alameda (EUPA) to retitle Engineering Supervisor to Engineering Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that t h e following workforce changes are approved and that the City's
authorized positions are so modified:
Alameda Municipal Power
a. Delete on Senior Account Clerk position
b. Add one Utility Information Systems Billing Specialist position
c. Retitle one Engineering Supervisor position to Engineering Manager position; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the salary schedule of the Electric Utility Professionals of Alameda
(EUPA) is hereby amended effective March 5, 2017 to establish the salary rates,
salary ranges, salary steps and benefits for the retitled classification of Engineering
Manager, designating these as applicable to this classification in the service of the City
of Alameda.
