APPROVING FINAL MAP AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENT FOR TRACT 8336 FOR
THE FIRST FINAL MAP FOR SITE 1 PHASE 1 AT ALAMEDA
POINT
WHEREAS, Alameda Point Partners (APP) submitted an application to create 12
parcels on 21.35 acres of land for Phase 1 within Site A and remainder parcels at
Alameda Point; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board held a notice public hearing and examined all
pertinent materials in June 27, 2016 and July 11, 2016; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 15187, the City Council approved Tentative
Map Tract 8336 on July 19, 2016; and
WHEREAS, approval of Final Map Tract 8336 is ministerial and will not result in
new environmental impacts beyond those identified in previously approved documents;
and
WHEREAS, said Final Map of Tract 8336 delineates thereon for dedications of
Ardent Way, Coronado Avenue, Consair Way, Ferry Point Way, Main Street, Orion
Street, Skylark Street and West Atlantic Avenue as public streets, and includes
dedications of lots 9, 10, and 11 for public park, and public easements for emergency
vehicle access, public pedestrian access, and public utilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda
that the Final Map of Tract 8336 be, and hereby is, approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said easements offered for dedication to the
public will be accepted at a future date once the improvements have been constructed
and accepted on behalf of the public for use in conformity with the terms of the offers of
dedication; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the agreement for construction and completion of
the public improvements in said tract pursuant to the Public Improvement Agreement and
all its terms and conditions be, and hereby are, approved and the City Manager and the
City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute and attest to, respectively, said
Agreement on behalf of the City of Alameda; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Security guaranteeing full and faithful
performance of said public improvements, labor, and materials are hereby approved as
sufficient in amount.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular
meeting assembled on the 21 st day of March, 2017, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Ezzy Ashcraft, Matarrese, Oddie, Vella and
Mayor Spencer — 5.
NOES: None.

ABSTENTIONS: None.
