ACCEPT A PLANNING GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $300,000 FROM
THE DIVISION OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS, HARBOR AND
WATERCRAFT REVOLVING FUND AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER TO MANAGE THE PLANNING GRANT AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has the authority to construct, operate, and
maintain the Encinal Boat Launch Facility; and
WHEREAS, on February 5, 2013, the City Council authorized a grant application
to the Division of Boating and Waterways to renovate and improve the Encinal Boat
Launch Facility; and
WHEREAS, on April 2, 2015, the Division of Boating and Waterways issued a
Grant Agreement with the City of Alameda, committing $300,000 in grant funding for the
Encinal Boat Launch Facility improvement project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council accepts a planning
grant in the amount of $300,000 from the Division of Boating and Waterways, Harbor and
Watercraft Revolving Fund program and authorizes the City Manager to manage the
planning grant agreement and any amendments and Claims for Reimbursement.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting
assembled on the 16th day of May, 2017 by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Ezzy Ashcraft, Matarrese, Oddie, Vella and
Mayor Spencer — 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
