APPROPRIATING $1,000,000 TO THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND
SWEENEY PARK PROJECT (91309) FROM THE GENERAL FUND,
$13,000 FROM THE HISTORICAL ADVISORY BOARD FUND AND
$50,000 OF KIWANIS AND ALAMEDA COMMUNITY FUND
DONATIONS TO THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, on June 6, 2017 the City Council did adopt an Operating and Capital
Budget representing the financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda
for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2018; and
WHEREAS, staff is proposing that General Fund appropriations for Transfers Out
be increased by $1,000,000, Historical Advisory Board Fund appropriations for Transfers
Out be increased by $13,000 and Capital Projects Fund Project 91309 revenue budget
be increased by $1,063,000 and appropriations be increased by $1,063,000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the report and recommendations of
the City Manager on this budget amendment and has determined that the budget
amendment is both fair and appropriate; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has given this budget due consideration as to its
projected revenues, anticipated expenditures and available fund balances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda
that budget amendments for Fiscal Year 2017 -18 Budget are approved for the General
Fund by increasing expenditure appropriations by $1,000,000, for the Historic Advisory
Board Fund by increasing expenditure appropriations by $13,000 and for the Capital
Projects Fund by increasing estimated revenues and expenditure appropriations by
$1,063,000 and $1,063,000, respectively.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting
assembled on the 17th day of October 2017, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Ezzy Ashcraft, Matarrese, Oddie, Vella and
Mayor Spencer — 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
