AMENDING THE GENERAL FUND, MEASURE B AND BB FUNDS,
INTERGATED WASTE FUND, STORMWATER FUND, SEWER FUND,
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND AND CAPITAL PROJECTS
FUND BUDGETS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-18
WHEREAS, on June 6, 2017, the City Council did adopt Operating and Capital
Budget representing the financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda
for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved a high-priority referral directing staff to
update Alameda's 2008 Local Action Plan for Climate Protection (Climate Plan); and
WHEREAS, City staff, Community Action for a Sustainable Alameda and other
Alameda environmental groups and organizations met to discuss the accomplishments
of the Climate Plan and progress on its goal of reducing 2020 emissions below the 2005
baseline by 25 percent; and
WHEREAS, City staff established a scope of work, in consultation with the Public
Utilities Board and Transportation Commission, developing a new roadmap to reduce
greenhouse gas emissions and setting a new climate action goal beyond 2020; and
WHEREAS, staff is proposing that the General Fund transfer out appropriations
be increased by $100,000, the Measure B and BB Funds transfer out appropriations be
increased by $50,000 each, the Integrated Waste Fund transfer out appropriations be
increased by $25,000, the Stormwater Fund transfer out appropriations be increased by
$25,000, the Sewer Fund transfer out appropriations be increased by $25,000, the
Community Development Fund transfer out appropriations be increased by $25,000, the
Capital Projects Fund transfer in be increased by $300,000 and expenditures
appropriations be increased by $300,000; and
WHEREAS, the funding for the additional appropriations comes out from available
fund balance of the respective fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the report and recommendations of
the City Manager on the budget amendment and has determined that the budget
amendment is both fair and appropriate; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has given this budget due consideration as to its
projected revenues, anticipated expenditures and available fund balances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda
that budget amendment for Fiscal Year 2017-18 Budget is approved for the General Fund
by increasing transfer out appropriations by $100,000, for the Measure B and BB Fund
by increasing transfer out appropriations by $50,000 each, for the Integrated Waste Fund
by increasing transfer out appropriations by $25,000, for the Stormwater Fund by
increasing transfer out appropriations by $25,000, for the Sewer Fund by increasing
transfer out appropriations by $25,000, for the Community Development Fund by
increasing transfer out appropriations by $25,000, for the Capital Projects Fund transfer
in be increased by $300,000 and expenditures appropriations be increased by $300,000.

regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting
assembled on the 5t" day of December 2017, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Ezzy Ashcraft, Matarrese, Oddie, Vella and
Mayor Spencer — 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
