AMENDING THE GENERAL FUND AND TECHNOLOGY REPLACEMENT
FUND BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-18
WHEREAS, On June 7, 2017, the City Council did adopt a budget representing
the financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the Fiscal Year
beginning July 1, 2017, and ending June 30, 2018; and
WHEREAS, staff is proposing that the General Fund appropriations be increased
by $500,000 and the Technology Equipment Fund estimated revenue and
appropriations be increased by $500,000 each; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the report and recommendations of the
City Manager on the budget amendment and has determined that the budget
amendment is both fair and appropriate; and
WHEREAS, this budget ensures that the City of Alameda has exercised prudent
judgment in its fiduciary responsibility as guardian of the public tax dollars.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that
a budget amendment to the City's Fiscal Year 2017-18 Budget is approved for the
General Fund by changing appropriations by $500,000 and for the Technology Equipment
Fund by changing revenue and expenditure estimates by $500,000 each.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting
assembled on the 6th day of February, 2018, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Ezzy Ashcraft, Matarrese, Oddie, Vella and
Mayor Spencer — 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
