Resolution 15349CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 15349
AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY TO THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION,
DIVISION OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS FOR A GRANT TO
RENOVATE THE ENCINAL BOAT LAUNCH FACILITY UNDER THE
HARBOR AND WATERCRAFT REVOLVING FUND.
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has the authority to construct, operate, and
maintain the Encinal Boat Launch Facility; and
WHEREAS, The City of Alameda is requesting a $1,242,220 grant from the
Division of Boating and Waterways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda desires to enhance, repair or rebuild and protect
the Encinal Boat Launch Facility to meet the needs of watercraft users and provide other
public amenities to those utilizing the facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda
that, pursuant and subject to all of the terms and provisions of the Harbors and Watercraft
Revolving Fund program, application be made to the State of California, Department of
Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways for funding; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City of Alameda is
hereby authorized and directed to cause the necessary data to be prepared and
application to be signed and filed with the Division of Boating and Waterways.
. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the City Council of the City of Alameda in a regular
meeting assembled on the 20th day of February, 2018 by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Ezzy Ashcraft, Matarrese, Oddie, Vella and
Mayor Spencer — 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
