APPROVING A WORKFORCE CHANGE AT ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL
POWER TO ADD ONE POSITION, ADVANCED METERING
INFRASTRUCTURE (AMI) SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR AND
AMENDING THE SALARY SCHEDULE OF THE ELECTRIC UTILITY
PROFESSIONALS OF ALAMEDA (EUPA) TO ADD THE
CLASSIFICATION OF ADVANCED METERING INFRASTRUCTURE
(AMI) SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR, EFFECTIVE JUNE 5, 2018
WHEREAS, in order to provide a workforce that is appropriately allocated,
classified and compensated at Alameda Municipal Power; and
WHEREAS, to meet service demands related to system upgrades and projects
the Public Utilities Board recommended at its regular meeting on May 21, 2018 that the
City Council add one Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) System Administrator; and
amend the salary schedule of the Electric Utility Professionals of Alameda (EUPA) to
add the classification title of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
System Administrator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that t h e following workforce change is approved and that the City's
authorized positions are so modified:
Alameda Municipal Power
a. Add one Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) System Administrator
position
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT F U R T H E R RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that the salary schedule of the Electric Utility Professionals of
Alameda (EUPA) is hereby amended effective June 5, 2018 to establish the salary
rates, salary ranges, salary steps and benefits for the classification of Advanced
Metering Infrastructure (AMI) System Administrator, designating these as applicable to
this classification in the service of the City of Alameda.
