AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2018-19 TIDELANDS FUND
BUDGET TO APPROPORIATE $360,000 FOR PHYSICAL ART
WHEREAS, on June 19, 2018, the City Council did adopt a budget
representing the financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for
the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019; and
WHEREAS, staff is proposing that Tidelands Fund expenditure
appropriations be increased by $360,000 from available fund balance in order to
provide additional funding for physical art; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the report and recommendations of
the City Manager on the reasons for the budget amendment and has determined
that the budget amendment is both fair and appropriate; and
WHEREAS, this budget endures that the City of Alameda has exercised
prudent judgment in its fiduciary responsibility as guardian of the public tax dollars.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that budget amendment to the City's Tidelands Fund Fiscal Year 2018-
19 budget is approved to increase expenditure appropriations by $360,000 in order
to provide additional funding for physical art.
I, the undersigned, herby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular
meeting assembled on the 18th day of September, 2018, by the following vote to
wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Ezzy Ashcraft, Matarrese, Oddie, Vella and
Mayor Spencer — 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
