MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
TUESDAY- -MAY 15, 2012- -6:58 P.M.
Mayor Gilmore convened the meeting at 7:14 p.m. Vice Mayor Bonta led the Pledge of
Allegiance.
ROLL CALL - Present: Councilmembers Bonta, deHaan, Johnson, Tam and
Mayor Gilmore – 5.
Absent: None.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS, NON-AGENDA
(12-223) Gretchen Lipow, Alameda, urged Council to review the campaign finance
ordinance; submitted information.
(12-224) Kurt Peterson, Alameda, made brief comments.
AGENDA ITEM
(12-225) Resolution No. 14673, “Amending Resolution No. 14637 to Move the June 5,
2012 Regular City Council Meeting to June 6, 2012 due to the Special Election.”
Adopted.
Councilmember Tam moved adoption of the resolution.
Councilmember Johnson seconded the motion, which carrie d by unanimous voice vote
– 5.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Gilmore announced that the regular meeting would be adjourned in memory of
Police Officer Dave Ellis and U.S. Army Sergeant Tom Fogerty; and discussed lowering
flags. There being no further business, Mayor Gilmore adjourned the meeting at 7:24
p.m.
