AMENDING THE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT SALARY SCHEDULE
TO ESTABLISH THE CLASSIFICATION OF PLANNING, BUILDING
AND TRANSPORTATION DIRECTOR AND DELETE THE DIRECTOR
OF BASE REUSE CLASSIFICATION
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to this Council an Executive Management
Compensation Plan which includes a listing of covered classifications and an associated
Salary Schedule; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda has fully examined said proposed
Compensation Plan and Salary Schedule, copies of which is are on file in the Office of
the City Clerk, and thereby finds and determines adoption of said documents to be in the
best interest of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City is reorganizing the Community Development Department
to separate Planning, Building and Transportation Services from Community
Development and Base Reuse Services; and
WHEREAS, in order to better reflect the proper title, role and responsibilities of
the Department Head classifications, which oversee the newly reorganized
Departmental structures for the Planning, Building and Transportation Department and
the Community Development Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that the Council hereby approves and adopts said Revised Compensation
Plan, which amends the Executive Management Salary Schedule effective February 3,
2019 and includes addition of the classification of Planning, Building and Transportation
Director and deletion of the classification of Director of Base Reuse; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the provision of this Resolution shall supersede
any other resolution in conflict herewith.

and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular
meeting assembled on the 71h day of May 2019, by the following vote to wit:

Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft-5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
