APPROVING WORKFORCE CHANGES FOR FY 2019-20
WHEREAS, in order to ensure that the City has a workforce that is
appropriately allocated, classified and compensated, changes are proposed
as part of the Mid-Year Budget Review for Fiscal Year 2019-20; and
WHEREAS, in order to support program growth, five new positions are
recommended as part of the 2019-20 Mid-Year Budget Review;
WHEREAS, as the result of changes in department operations it is
recommended to delete two positions as part of the 2019-20 Mid-Year Budget
Review; and
WHEREAS, in order to ensure positions are correctly allocated based
on the work being performed it is recommended to upgrade one position as
part of the Mid-Year Budget Review; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the salary schedule amendment and workforce changes as
outlined below are so modified, resulting in an overall increase of one full time
position to the City's total position allocation for the Fiscal Year 2019-20.
• Alameda Municipal Power
o Add one Electrical Equipment Superintendent "·
o Delete one System Operations and Field Services
Superintendent position
o Delete one Line Superintendent position
• City Manager's Office
o Add the position of Sustainability and Resilience Manager
• Community Development Office
· o Add one Accounting Technician
• Pol ice Department
o Add one Lead Parking Technician position
o Add one Parking Technician position

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular
meeting assembled on the 3rd f March, 2019, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, Knox White, Oddie, Vella and
Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft -5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
