RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO SET JUNE 15, 2021, FORA PUBLIC
HEARING TO CONSIDER COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT
INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTS VIA PROPERTY
TAX BILLS
WHEREAS, Government Code Sections 38790.1 & 25831 authorize the City to
place special assessments and/or liens against the respective parcels of land for the
amount of delinquent fees relating to waste collection, processing, reclamation, and
disposal services; and
WHEREAS, Staff has prepared a report of delinquent fees (the "Report") and
presented the Report to the City Council at its May 4, 2021 meeting; and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to collect the reported delinquent fees
consistent with Government Code Sections 38790.1 & 25831.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda
that the City Council hereby sets a public hearing on June 15, 2021 to review the report of
delinquent fees relating to Integrated Waste Management Accounts and consider collection
of such delinquent fees via property tax bills, at which time written or oral protests or
objections may be made. Additional information regarding the location and agenda for the
public hearing can be found here: https://www.alamedaca.gov/GOVERNMENT/AcJendas-
Minutes-Announcements; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby directed to mail
notices of said public hearing to each of the landowners listed on the Report.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting
assembled on the 4th day of May 2021, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, Herrera Spencer, Knox White, Vella
and Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft — 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
