Resolution 03623RESOLUTION NO. 3623 DISSOLVING ThE "STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND"..CREATING A NEW FUND TO BE KNOWN AS "TEAFFIC SAFETY FUNW, AND TBANSFERRING FUNDS FRGINi THE SThEET IMPROVENENT FUND TIETERET 0 WHEREAS, Chapter 11..00 of the 1947 Statutes of California amends Section 770 of the Vehicle Code and provides that all fines and forfeitures collected shall be paid into the city treasury and deposited in a special fund to be known as the "Traffic Safety Fimd" in place of the Street Improvement Fund, as heretofore; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, as follows: That the "Street Improvement Fund" is hereby dissolved; That a new, special fund to be known as the "Traffic Safety Fund" is hereby created; That all funds in said Street Improvement Fund at the date of the passage of this resolution be, and the sane are hereby, transferred to said "Traffic Safety Fund." The Auditor and Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to create said now special fund and to make the necessary transfers on their respective books. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th day of October, 1947, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Osborn, Sweeney and President Branscheid, (3).
