the State of California, under Chapter 20, Statutes of 1946
(First Extra Session), as amended, has appropriated funds for allotment to provide
for financial assistance to Local Agencies, defined therein as counties, cities
and counties, or cities, so that they may en3age in a large public works construe
tion progran in order to prevent and alleviate unemployment; and
Ox'ls, the City of Alaneda desires to apply for an allotment of State
aid fur tne construction of a public works project under said Act; and

an appiication to the State Director of Finance for such an
allotment has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Body for considera-
tion; and

cost of the project not requested as an allotmvnt from the State;

estimato of cost to be paid for the construction of the Ganitary Sewer --North Side
of oris Drive (Project to. 20-5), for which said City is making apflication under
loo ($16,700.00 Dollars; and
said Act, is Sixteen Thousand, Seven Hundrea and no/d
M It FORTHIR RESOLVED that said Oity of Alameda hereby requests the
State to pay the State's share of the total actual cost of construction of the pro-
ject for which said City is making application for aid.
IT 1011HTLL.R MOWED, that for the purpose of tAis request, Don C.
1clillan, Jity Manager of the City of Alameda, be, and he hereby is, designated as
Ke authorized agent of said City, and is hereby authorized and directed to sign
the hereih menoioaed application of said City and to submit the same to the State
Director of Finance, together with a certified statement of the total estimated
ca6t to be paid for constructioL of the project herein mentioned and such other in-
formation as may be required; and said authorized ageEt is further authorized and
directed, as representative of said City, to conduct all negotiations and conclude
all arrangements, with either the Mate Allocation Board or the Director of Finance,
includinS requests for payment of the State's share of the cost of the construction
of the aforementioned public works project.
