WREAS, public interest and necessity require the construction of im-
provements and alterations to the health Center Building, located at 2226 Sanwa
Clara Avenue; and
,1::MRE.yS, tiie City Engineer has Drepared Specifications, Special Pro-
visions and Plans for said work, which SDecifications and Provisions are numbered
PW 6-48-9 and were filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City on June 15,
1948;
NO ThEREORE , BE IT aESOLVED BY TIE! 001MCK, OF THE CITY O ALIMEDA
that the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and 11ans, numbered and
filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.®
RESOLVIi';D, KEMIER, that the performance and completion of the work
specified in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby, auth-
orized.
RESOLVED, WaTHAR, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 olclock P. E. on Tuesday, July 6, 048, for the
furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and processes,
implements, tools and machinery, except as otherwise specified, needisary for the
work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifications and Provisions.
Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, in Alameda, California,
under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside "Proposal for Improvements and
Alterations to Health Center Building", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded, subject to Qe provisions of the
Chartar of the City of Alameda, to the res.onsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City EnEineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda,
Califortia.
The City Clerk is hereby diroctud to advertise, in the Alameda Times -
Star, a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with tke provisions of tLis
ressiution and of said Specifications and Proviaions.
