&IEI�. S, public interest and necessity require the construction of a
garage at the Health Center BuildinS, located at 2226 Santa Clara Avenue; and
'VhiER1AS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Pro-
visions and Plans for said work, which Specifications and Provisions are nudbered
PW 6-48-10 and wexe filed in the office of the CitClerk of said City on Tune 15,
1948;
YO W THEREFORE, B! IT RESuLV-_,,D BY T11EZ, COMR31L M TIELF, ClTY 02 ALAKIEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
RESU:LVEDi2_M1tee' HER, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Cotuacil of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 Welock P. E., on Tuesday, Tuly 6, 1948, for
the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and pro-
cesses, implements, tools and machinery, except as otherwise specified, necessary
for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifications and
Provisions. Bids must bepresented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, in Ala-
meda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside "Proposal
for Construction of earn at Health Gongs Building", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded, subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective U:1 dder

scat to the City Engeer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, Cali-
fornia.
Me City Clerk is hereby directed to advarLise, in the Alameda Times
:.etas, a notice calling for sealed bits in accordance with the provisions of tAis
resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.
