dated July 20, 1948, for the collection and removal of refuse and garbage for a
period of ton (10) years from August 1, 1948; and

t7111EREASI it is in the public interest that said agreement should be

that said agreement for the collection and removal of refuse and garbage be en-
tered into, and that the Mayor of the City of Alameda be, and he is hereby, au-
thDrized and directed to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Alameda,
and the City Cleik is authorized to attest the same,
BE TT FUETBER ITTESOI,y'ED that upon the execution of sats i contnact herein
above referred to, dated july 20, 1948, that the contract heretofore existing be-
tween the City of Alameda and the Alameda City Garbage Association, dated the 18th
day of February, 1943, shall be terminated, cancelled and renderod of no further
effect.
I, the undersigned, heroby certify that the foregoing Rosolution war,
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular mooting assomblod on tho 20th day of july, 1048, by.tho following
votn to wit;
