ACCEPTING A14ENDIIEM NO. 1 TO LICENSE TO THE CITY
OF ALAIFEDA, CALIFOIIUI�IA, GRANTED BY THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA UNDER DATE OF APRIL 4, 1945
VE-FEREAS, under date of April 4, 1945, the United States government,
acting by and through the Secretary of War, granted a license to the City of
Alameda to extend a road across the Alameda Intransit Depot Idilitary Reserva-
tion, California; and
VHEREAS, since April 4, 1945, the government has ceased to have any
interest in the parcel of land covered by said license, shown in blue on the
map marked Exhibit I'D", and attached to Amendment No. 1 to said license; and
VEITEREAS, under date of August 27, 1948, the City of Alameda acquired
a license over said parcel of land marked in blue from the Regents of the Uni-
versity of California, a corporation, the present owners of said land; and
VFIEREAS, the government has submitted to the City of Alameda Amend-
ment No. 1 to said license, dated April 41 1945, and has requested the City of
Alameda to accept the same; and
i REAS,1HEa I form of Amendment Na, 1 to License to the City of Alameda,
California, containing the terms and conditions thereof, has been presented to
this Council at this meeting, and this Council is familiar with the conditions
thereof;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that the proposed Amendment No. 1 to License to the City of Alameda, Caiiforni
and the terms and conditions thereof be, and the same are hereby, accepted and
approved by the City of Alameda, and the Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereb
authorized and directed to accept said Amendment No. 1 on -behalf of the City o
Alameda and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest the same.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 19th day of October, 1948, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Tones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
