ACCEPTING AlaNDMENT NO. 1 TO LICENSE TO TTIE CITY
OF ALA17v'1EDA I CALIFORNGRANIA, MD BY THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA UNDER DATE OF APRIL 42 1945
WHEREAS, under date of April J+, 1945, the United States government,
acting by and through the Secretary of War' ;ranted a license to the City of
Alameda to extend a road,across the Alameda ntransit Depot lv1lilitary Reservation,
California; and
WHEREAS, since April /+, 1945, the government has ceased to have any
interest in the parcel of land covered ' by said license, shown in blue on the
map marked Exhibit I'D", and attached to Amendment No. 1 to said license; and
lift EAS, under date of August 27, 1948, the City of Alameda acquired
a license over said parcel of land marked in blue from the Regents of the Uni-
versity of California, a corporation, the present owners of said land; and
VMEREAS, the government has submitted to the City of Alameda Amend-
ment, No. 1 to said license,dated April 1945, and has requested the City of
Alameda to accept the same; and
WHEREAS, a form of Amendment No® 1 to License to the City of Alameda,
California, containing the terms and conditions thereof, has been presented to
this Council at this meeting, and this Council is familiar with the conditions
thereof;
NOW THEREFOREY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE, CITY OF ALAI'vIEDA
that the proposed Amendment No. 1 to License to the City of Alameda, California,
and the terms and conditions thereof be, and the same are hereby, accepted and
approved by the City of Alameda, and the Ivlayor of the City of Alameda is hereby
authorized and directed to accept said Amendment No. 1 on behalf of the City of
,Alameda and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest the same.
IT IS FURT1-ERR RESOLVED that Resolution 1,10. 3865, adopted by this
Council on October 19, 1948, be, and the same is hereby rescinded.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 7th day of December, 1948, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
Branscheid, (5).
