ACCEPTING CONVEYANCE FROM SANTA CRUZ OIL CORPORATI61T
OF EASEMENT IN CERTAIN LEAL PROPERTY AND COASEE[TING
TO RECORDATION THEREOF
W,',iEREAS, a certain indenture dated the 31st day of December, 1948,
made by and between Santa Cruz Oil Corporation, a corporation, as party of the
first part, and City of Alameda, a municipal corporation, as party of the second
part, was, on or about said date, executed and delivered by said party of the
first part to the City of Alameda; and
'411EREAS) by said indenture, the grantor therein named granted to the
City of Alameda a permanent easement and right of way to at any time, or from
time to time, construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew an under-
ground sanitary sewer in, through, under and along those certain pieces or
strips of land in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California,
and more particularly described in said Grand of Easement; and
�TIIEREAS, the City of Alameda did, on the 18th day of January, 1949,
accept said conveyance, and acquired possession of the said easement in the
said real property;

that the aforementioned indenture je, and the same is hereby, accepted on be-
half of the City of Alameda, and said City Council, acting for and in behalf
of said City, hereby consents to the recordation of said iLdenture and orders
this resolution to be attached thereto, as required by Section 1158 of the Civil
Code of the State of Califory is
I. the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of January, 1949, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
