ihEREAS, public interest and necessity require that the real property
hereinafter described be acquired by the City of Alameda for public street and
highway purposes; and
';'FHEREAS, Frank Razzano and Guiseppina Razzano, his wife, are the
owners of the real property hereinafter described and are willing to sell the
same to the City of Alameda for the sum of $400.00;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CO_'J1."CIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
as follows:
Section 1. That the City, of Alameda purchase from Frank Razzano and
Guiseppina Razzano, his wife, for the sum of W0.00, that certain real
property situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California,
particularly described as follows:
PORTIOK of the parcel of land described in the deed by Edward
Acciaiali to Frank Razzano and Guiseppina Razzano, dated January 9,
1931, recorded March 4, 1931, in book 2551 of Official Records of
Alameda County, at page 195, described as follows:
BEGIHNING at the northwestern corner of said parcel of land;
and running thence along the northern line thereof South 880 24,
15" East 28.15 feet to a point of intersection with a curve to the
right of radius 2271.88 feet; thence southeasterly along said curve
a distance of 9.45 feet more or less to the eastern line of said
parcel of land; thence along the last mentioned line South 10 25,
30" aest 14.98 feet; thence North 640 58' 39" West 43.59 feet to the
western lite of said parcel of land; and thence along the last named
line North 10 35' 4511 East 1.28 foot to a point of beginning,
upon the following terms and conditions, to -wit:

a) That good, merchantable title in fee simple in said real property
be conveyed to the City of Alameda, free and clear of all obJections, liens, an-
curibranc,.,s, clouds and claims of title, but subject to second installment of
taxes and assessments for the fiscal year 1948-1949;
(b) That the title to said real property be evidenced by policy of
title insurance issued by the Alameda Coanty-Eust Bay Title Insurance Company,
insurini,r, title in the City of Alameda, as provided in the preceding subdivision
(a);
(c) That upon deposit with said title insurance company, for delivery
to the City of Alameda, of a good and sufficient deed of grant conveying said
real property to the City of =iameda, and conditioned upon the issuance of a
title insurance policy, as aforesaid, to be approved by.

warrant of the City of Alameda be drawn for $415.00, payable to the order of
said Alameda County-East,Bay Title Insurance Company, and delivered to said
title insurance company as escrow holder for the purpose of effecting the con-
summation of said purchase and to pay cost of title insurance policy.
Section 2. The Sam of 01415.00 payable to the order of said Alameda
County -East Bay Title Insurance Company, and delivered to said title insurance
company as escrow holder for the purpose of effecting the consummation of said
purchase and to pay cost of title insurance policy. The sum of $415.00 is
hereby appropriated from Gas Tax #2 Fund of the City of Alameda to pay the
purcLase price of said real property and cost of title insurance policy.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of January, 1949, by the following
