who served the people of this City as one of its Councilmen during the term from
1927 to 1931.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT Ri�SOLVED, that, in recognition of his untiring
efforts on behalf of the Cit j.- as a member of its Legislative Body, and his fine
spirit of cooperation and leadership, the Council of the City of Alameda hereby
expresses its sense of personal loss and its deep appreciation for the privilege
of having had such a loyal worker for the best interests of the City at that time.
BE IT FURTER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread in full upon the
minutes of thismeeting, and that a copy thereof be transmitted to the family of
Mr. Calcutt, that it may extend to its -members a sincere expression of sympathy and
condolence; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that when this meeting of the Council of the City
of Alameda adjourns, it shall do so in respect to the me -mor„,, of WILLIAT41 R. CALCUTT.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 7th day of December, 1948, by the following
