AUTHORIZING EXECUTIUN OF LICENSE AGREEFENT WITH THE REGENTS
CF THE UNIVEMITY OF CALIFORNIA, A CORPORATION, YOR THH111
CONSTRUCTION, MAIYTENANCE AYD USE OF AN ACCESS ROAD TO THIT,
PACIFIC OVERSEAS SHTFPINS DEPOT
WIEE]PEAS., The Regents of the University of California, a corporation,
has offered to grant to the City of Alaneda a license for the construction,
maintenance and use of an Access Aoad over and across that certain parcel of land
situated in, the City of Alameda, State of California, and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the western line of WBbster
Street, 100.00 feet wide, said point being North 0 18146"
East 331.50 feet measured along said western line from its
intersection with the northern line of that certain parcel
of land taken by the United States of America by Condemna-
tion Suit No. 224?8-R, the final judgment for which is
recorded in Book 4323 of Official Records, at Page 407, in
the Alameda County Recorder's Office; said point of begin-
ning having the coordinates y 0 472,501.20 feet and x -
1,436,379.1.2 feet based on the California Coordinate System,
Zone 3. as are all coordinates, bearings and distances in
this description and being South 50 081 12" West 32.28 feet
from United States Coast and Geodetic Survey monument "Web
Bus Isl.""; and rru.nninr thence North 90'141 56" West 90.34
feet; thence North Ob 10 46" East 33.00 feet; thence North
390 401 56" Wect 6.00 feet; thence North 00 131 46" East 59.20
feet distant measured at ri7ht angles from the southerly
boundary of that certain parcel of land described in action
in eminent domain entitled Whited Stites of America vs. -
76.15 acres of land, more or less, in the City of Alameda.,
Alameda County, State of California, Re7ents of the University
of California, et al.." Civil Nir,,,iber 30?35, as Mod in the
District Mirt of t]ne United States in and for the Northern
District of California, Southern Division; thence along said
parallel line Sooth 87' 55, 29" East 22.00 feet to the afore-
said wesLein line of Oebster Street; thence along said
western line South 00 181 46" Nest 186.52 feet to the point
of beginning; and
WEEREAS, a form of said license agreement, containing the terms and
conditions thereof,, has been presented to this Council at this meetingand this
Council is familiar with the conditions thereof;
BE IT !UESOLVED BY TIE] COUNCIL OF 7ME CITY OF, ALA1,,,T111DA
NOW
that the aforesaid proposed license agreement, and the terms and conditions
thereof, be, and the same is hereby, accepted and approved by the City of Alameda,
and the Pdaycr of the City of Alameda, is hereby authorized and directed to execute
said license agreement onbehalf of !he City of Alameda, and the City Clerk is
authorized to attest same.
I. the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and reqularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Llameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd day of January, 1952, by the following
vote, to it
