AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO STATE
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE ONT BIEULILF O11P TIEE' CITY OF ALITJE'EIDA
FOR STAVE ASSISTANCE IN DEFRAYING COST OF PLi-,�NS PIOR
CONSTRUCTION OF BOND ISSUE SEWER PROJECT UNIT NO. III
(PROJECT NO. 47-37)
WHEBEAS, The State of California, under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944,
(4th Extra Session) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of
Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as
counties, cities or cities anj counties for the purpose of defraying not to ex-
ceed one-half the cost of preparing engineering field surveys, engineering or
architectural designs, an6 working and detai2ed drawings and specifications
(hereinafter called "Plans") required for post-war public works projects des-
cribed as "specific projects" in said Act; and
WHEHEAS, hHe City of Alameda desires to apply to the Director of
Finance and/or the State Allocation Board, as .,he case may be, for an allotment
of the Statcls share of the estimated cost of preparing the completed plans here-
inafter mentioned, and there has been prepared and presented to this Legislative
Body for consideration an application for such purpose; and

of the aforementioned application, sufficient funds to prepare the completed
plans herein mentioned;

application, to the Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board, as the
case may be, requesting allotment of 57,00C.00 being not more than one-half the
cost of preparing said completed plans, or for such amount as may be approved by
the Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Eoard, (said allotment to be
used for the purpose of defraying the cost of preparing said completed plans
required) for a specific project to be undertaken by said City and described as
Project No. 47 -37 --BOND ISSUE SEDER FROjECT UNIT NO. III.

RESOL, that the estimated cost of preparing such
plans is P14,000.00, a-Y,d t-nat said City has made provision for paying one-half
or more of the cost of preparing such plans.
BE IT FUR72ER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this application,
the City Nansger of the City of Alansda be, ard he is hereby, designated as the
authorized agent of said City and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the
above nentioned application on behalf of said City and submit the same to the
Director of Finance and/or the State Mocation Board, together with as certified
statement of the estlmRted cost of preparing such plans and such other infornation
as may be required; and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed,
as the representative of said City, to conduct all negotiations and conclude all
arrangements, including submission to the Director of Finance of applications for
reimbursement, which nay be necessary to secure reinibursement for the State's
share of the expenditure made in preparing said completed plans®

in regular nooting a2sembled on the 15th day of January, 1952, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Branscheid, Jones, Sweeney and
President Osborn, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
