and Provisions for furnishing tel the City of Alameda seven (7) pendant type light-
ing standards, complete withluminalres, for Street Edgh7ing Construction Assessment
District No. 1 (1952), Ho. MS 4-52-5, filed in the office of the City Clerk on April
Q9 19529 be, and the same are hereby, a,proved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids un to the hnur of 8:05 P. M., on Tuesday, May 6, 1952, for the furnishin--
to the C T t y of seven (7) pendant type lighting standards, complete with luminaires,
in accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to
the City ClexT, in the City Ha13, Al2meda, California, under sealed cover and
plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Pendant Type Ldghting Standards", or
similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who sutmilts, tlie lowest and best
bid. Tho right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
The City Clerk is heisby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times -
Star, a notice calling for sealed bids ir accordance with the provisiors of this
rosolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.
Tp the undersigned, heysby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 15th day of April, 1952, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Transche id, Jones, Sweeney and President
Osborn, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
