AT)CPTING SPECIFICATIONS AND PROVISIONS FOR TEFATR OF
PORTIAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK, DRIVEWAY, CURB AND
GUTTER 1POR FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUTE 309 1953, CALLING
FOR BIDS AND DT11.ECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications and Special
Provisions for repair of Portland Cement Concrete sidewalk, driveway, curb and
gutter for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1953; which Specifications and Speolal
Provisions are numbered PW 5-52-6 and were filed with the City Clerk of said City
on May 20, 1952;
NOW THEREFOlUj], BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL 07 THE CITY OF AIAMEDA
that the aforesaid Specifications and Special Provisions, nunbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted,
RESOLVED, that the perfornance and completion of the work
specified in said Specifications and Special Provisions be, and the sane is
hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTEER, that the Council of the City of Alaneda will receive
scaled bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'clock P. M. on Wednesday, June 4, 1952, for
tho forrishing to the City of all labor, materials and equipment necessary for
ropairitfInd7or constructing Portland Cement Concrete sidewallk, driveway, curb
and gutter in the streets of the City of Alameda for the fiscal. year ending June
30P 1953, in accordance with said Specifications and Special Provisions. Bids
must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall 4 i Alameda, California,
under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside Proposal for Repair of
Sidewalk, etc." or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best
bid. The ritht is reserved to reject any or all bid..
Said Specifications and Special Provisions may be had by any prospective
bidder on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Ttmes-
Star, a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Special Provisions.

ABSENT: Councilmen Branscheid and Jones, (2).
