DIRECTTNG CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME]
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications and Provisions
for resurfacing and repair of asphalt and bituminous pavement for the fiscal year
ending June 30, 1953, which Specifications and Provisions are numbered PW 5 -52 -
and were filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City on May 20, 1052;

that the aforesaid Specifications and Provisions, numbered and filed as aforesaid,
be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
RESOWED F&HT,15,'R, that the performance and completion of the work
specified in. said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby,
authorized.
RESOIXED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'clock P. M., on Wednesday, June 4, 1952,
for the furnishing to the City of all labor, material and equipment necessary for
resurfacing and repairing asphalt and bituminous pavement in the streets of the
City of Alameda for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1953, in accordance with said
Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk. in the
City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly—marked on the
outside "Proposal for Repair of Asphalt and Bituminous Pavement", or similar
designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best;
bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any. prospective bidder,
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times -
Star, a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.
I. the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of May, 1952, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Sweeney and President Osborn, (3).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen Branscheid and Jones, (2).
