AMENDING SUBSECTIONS (2) AND (3) OF SECTION 6 OF
YrE'SOLUTION NO. 4596 PEIATING TO "POSITION CIASSI-
FICAT100 PIAN" AND TO TTTE COMPENSATION OF OFFICERS
AND ET,,01PL0YF,!,ES OF TH_� CITY OF AI NEEDS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNWI, OF THE CITY OF AMNEDA that subsections
(2) and (3) of Section 6 of Resolution No. 4596 be, and the same are hereby amended
to read as follows, respectively:
(2) The salary of each employee, excepting elective officials,
whose current rate of pay is above the ninimum and below the
maximun rate of the new compensation plan shall be increased in
the amount of two and three -tenths per cent (2.3%j In the
event such percentage increase shall move a salary out of one
step of the salary range Into the next succeeding higher styp
of the salary range, the employee entitled to such sal arY shall
receive as his compensation the entire amount provided for in
said next succeeding higher step of the salary range.
(3) The salary of each employee, excepting elective officials,
whose current rate of pay is equal to or above t' e maximum rate
for the class to whichhis position has been allocated shall be
increased by two and three -tenths per cent (2.3%). Such ar
engloyee shall receive no further increase in salary so long as
the position he fills is in a class having a maximun rate below
his present salary rate.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in special meeting assembled on the 27th day of Nhy, 1952, by the following vote,

AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Jones, Swooney and President Osborn, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Branscheid, (1).
