RESOLUTION NO. 4623
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PIANS
FOR TBE CONSTRUCTION OF TROUK STORM SEWER ON NELROSE
AVENUE, BAY FARM ISLAID, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING
CITY CIERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WILER-EAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special
Provisions and Plans for the construction of a trtmk stem n sewer on Nalrose
Avenue, Bay Farm Island, which are numbered PlI'v' 6-52-9 and were filed in the
office of the City Clerk on June 17, 1952;
NOW THEEEF071FI, BTE, IT RE'SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, nunber and
filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTH7ER, that the performance and completion of the work
specified in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby
authorized.
RESOLNED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'clock P. Y. on Tuesday, July 1, 1952, for
the furnishing to the City of Alansda of all. labor,,,'materials, methods and pro-
cesses, tools and equipriient necessary foo the work hereinabove referred to, K
accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to
the City Clerk, in the City Mall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and
plainly rig ihed on the outside "Proposal for Construction of Trunk Storm Sewer
on Melrose -Avenue, Bay Farm Island," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions nay be had by any prospective
bidder on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City HA119
Alaneda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Tires -
Star, a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of
this resoluticn and of said Specifications and Provisions.
I$ the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
In regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of June, 1952, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Branscheid, Jones and Sweeney, (4).
NGES: None.
ABSENT: President Osborn, (1).
