AiTHORIZING ADOPTION BY CITY AUDITOR OF PaCKSAD
CjEET CF ACCOUNTS FOR CITT OF ALAHEDA AMD APFROVING
THE NECESSARY hEVISION 1N 1952-1953 BUD11T ACCOUNTING
WHEREAS, the City Auditor has heretofore submitted to this Council a
proposed coded chart of nnnoonts for use in the City's budRet accoanting, which
method will necessitate a revision as to account nimbers and accounting mebhods to
ba used in ocnnention with the accountQ7 of the U&N budget for the fiscal year
1952-1953; and
WHEREAS, it annears to this Council that the nronosee revision in the
b19d7et sceounting procedure will effect an improvement and simplification in the
accounting methods of the City and that !he rec o.n,1m,..endsat ions of the Auditor in this
relvard should, therefore, be adopted;

1. That the said wronased coded chart of accoqnta be, and the same is
KreQ anproved, and the City Auditor is hereby authorized and Vrected to inswu-
rnte the use of said cbart of accounbs in connection witb the accountinq K the
City's 1952-1953 budget, with the nroviso that the oroposed exnenditure characLer
and object c.as sificat'on of the sevoral necounts, as erbodied in Lhe said chart
of sccounts, shall not be effective prior to adoption of the City's budFet for
the fiscal year 1953-1954.
