Resolution 04695RESOLUTION NO. 4.695 ENDORSING THE PROPOSED ISSUANCE OF SCHOOL BOUDS BY ALAMEDA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND URGING SUPPORT OF SUCH ISSUANCE AT THE SCHOOL BOND ELECTION TO BE HELD JANUARY l l9.... WHEREAS, by reason of an increased annual enrollment of approximately 600 pupils in the elementary schools within the City of Alameda,, the existing school facilities are presently inadequate to properly care for tho school populationand WI-]EREAS, the funds to be realized from the sale and issuance of the proposed bonds are required to provide additional school buildings; and dings; 1,A!HEREAS, if such additional school bul-ldings are not -provided a resumption of split day sessions in the existing schools will be necessary; and 1,T1-UE"REAS,, it is the belief of the Council of the City of Alameda that the children of this City are entitled to be provided with facilities which will assure a full dayts attendance at school, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the proposed school bond issue be, and it is hereby endorsed by this Council as necessary for the provision of adequate school facilities. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all. the electors of the City of Alameda be, and they are hereby urged and requested to support the proposed. bond issue at the election to be held January 13,, 1053. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of January, 1953, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Branscheid, Sweeney and President Osborn, (1�).
