Resolution 04697RESOLUTION NO. 4697 CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON PROFE;RTY ACQUIRED BY THE QITY FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES the following described real property situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, to -wit., Northeast; corner Fillmore and Fountain Streets, North 5 feet by east 100 feet, as shown on 1952-1953 tax bill No. 903 -- Assessor ts Block 1�6, Plate 1-3, Alice P. Catton, has been assessed heretofore for city purposes for the fiscal year 1952-1953 and I whe ,-s levied there in the sun, of '� . of 5� taxon $1 83 and penalty are uncollected and unpaid; and WHEREAS, of t-er the time said taxes became a lien on said real property., to -wit, on December 15, 1952, said real property was, by Geed. recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County on December 15, 1952, in Book 6900 of Official Records, at page 359, acquired,, and ever since has been,, and now is, owned by the City of Alameda, and has been and now is being used for public purposes., and because of such public ownershi-,n is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes; NOW THEEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA., with the written consent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected taxes charged or levied for city purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together with penalties and costs thereon, be, and the same are hereby, cancelled, and the Auditor and Tax Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby authorized and directed to cancel the same on their respective books. BE IT FURTTIER RESOLVED, anythinF , in this resolution to the contrary, not- withstanding, that this resolut1on and order shall not be construed as cancelling, or aauthorizing the cancellation of, anv special assessment taxes levied acainst said real property by the City of Alameda purs,,aant to the provisions of the "Acouisition and Improvement Act of 1925". Clark, City Attorney of the City of Alameda, State of California., do hereby consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected taxes and assessnents or penalties and costs thereon, charged or levied for city purposes upon the parcel of real property described in the within resolution.
