WHEREAS, public interest ond necessity require thRt certain real property
aI the intersection of Island Road and County Road, Bay Fprm Island, be acquired by
the City of Alameda for street and highway purposes; and,
WHEREAS, Alameda City Land Co., a corporation, is bbs owner of said rcal
nroperty and is willing to sell the same to the City for the sum of "350-00;
NOW THEREME, 3E !T RESOLVED BY TQ,; COTUN'CIL ,F THE CITY OF ALAMEIT that
tho City puTchaso said real property from Alameda City Land Co., as corporation, for
the sum of 13-00,00.
RESOLVED, 7URTHER, that good and merchantable title in fee sinple in said
real property be conveyed to the City of Alameda, free and clear of all objections,
liens and encumbrances.
RESOLVED, FUITsir R, that the title to said real property be evidenned by a
policy of title insurance issued by Oakland Title Insurance and Guaranty Company,
insuring title in the City, said title insurance to bo at the expense of the City.
RESOLVED, FURTHRR, that upon deposit with said title coi-rpaxiy for delivery
to the City of a good nnd sufficient deed of grant conveying said property to the
City and conditioned upon the issuance of a title insurance policy, as aforesaid,
to be approved bye City Attorney, a warrant of the City be drawn for 0>350.00,
payable to the order of and delivered to said Oakland Title insurance and Guarnnty
Conpany, as escrow holder, for the purpose of effecting the consl_' ation of said

the CaDital Out..; nys Fund to pay the purchase price of said real property and cost of
title insurance policy.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the fore?oing Resolution was duly
and reFularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 3rd day of February, 19-03, by the following vote, to wit:
