ADOPTING SPECIFICATIOVS$ SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS
FOR THE !MPROVNMENT 07 THE WESTORLY HAIN OF GARFIELD

CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVLRTISE SAME
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
ant Plans for the improvement of the westerly half of Garfield Avenue bet"een Liberty
Avenue and Central Konue, whicla are x-niirObercd F9 2-53-2 and were filed, in the office
of the City Clerk on FebruarY 3,19-013;
NOW THEREFORE, RE IT Eff 'IHE COUNCIL 0,F THE CITY 0]"' that
the aforesaid Spec ifications,Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as,
aforesaid, be, and the same are Vareby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, PUR7HER, tKat the performance and completion of the work specified
in said Specifications and Provisions be, andthe same is hereby authorized.
.,EZQLV1',i,D'9 1117-11`17H7R, that the COUnCil Gf Khe City of Alameda will receive
scaled bids up to the hoAr of 8:05 o'clock P. M. on Tuesda. , February 17, 1953, for
the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and processes,,
tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabovo referred to, in accordance
with said Snecificatdons and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the CiQ Clerk,
in—the CityHall, in Alnneda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked oil
the outside "Proposal for Improvement of Westerly Half of aarfield Avenue between
Liberty and Central Avenues". or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the Citj of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who subnits the lowest and
best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Spocifications and Provisions may be had b� any ypospective bi6dwr on
arplication to the Citv Engineer, at his offire in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby direoted to advertise, in the Alareda Tinos -Star,
a notice ep1ling for sonled bids, in accordnnee "ith the provisions of this resolution
and of said Specificptions and ProvLsions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and revularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
by tha following vote, to wit:
