Resolution 04739RESOLUTION NO. 4739 001101TIZING CITY MANAGER TO MARE AYENDED ATTIICATION TO STATE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE ON BEBALF OF TEE CITY OF ALAIEDA FOR STATE ASSISTANCE IN DEFRAYING COST OF PLANS 17011 SA1011 CLARA AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1 (SANTA CLARA AVENUE FROM 'vv EBS` ER STRPET TO EAY STREET AND FROM ROJECT NO. 4 -41 WEEREAS , the State of California, under Chapter 47, Statutes of 19449 (4th Extra Session) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-half the cost of preparing engineering field surveys, engineering or architectural designs, and work- ing and detailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter called "Plans") required for post-war public works projects described as "specific projects" in said Act; and WEEREAS, the City of Alameda has heretofore applied to the State Director of Finance for an allotment of $750,009 at that time estimated as being not more than one-half the cost of preparing the completed plans hereinafter mentioned, and said Director of Finance allocated to said City of Alameda the sun, of $750,00; and ATEREAS, the City of Alameda desires to make an amended application to the Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board, as the case may be, for an additional allotment of the State's share of the cost of preparing the completed plans hereinafter mentioned, and there has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration an amended application for such purpose; and WEEREAS, said City has provided or will make available upon approval of the aforementioned amended application, sufficient funds to prepare the completed plans herein mentioned; lqcnv TFUT100FOR14111 BE IT IUEZOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AIKEDA that said City submit the aforementioned amended application to the Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board, as the case may be, requesting an allotment of additional funds in the amount of $22.51, or an allotment of such amount as may be allotted by the State Allocation Board, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the estimated final cost of preparing plans for the specific project to be inidertaken by.theCity and described in the amended application heretofore mentioned as Project No, 47 -41 --SANTA CLARA AVENUE IMTROVEYENT PROJECT NO. 1, is $1,580.26. BE IT FURTHER :;ASO D, that for the purpose of this amended application., the City Manager of the City of Alameda be, and he is hereby, designated as the authorized agent of said City and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the herein mentioned amended application on behalf of said City and submit the same to the Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board, together with a certified statement of the estimated cost of preparing such plans and such other information as may be required; and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed, as the representative of said City, to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements, including submission to the Director of Finance of applications for reimbursement for the State's share of the expenditure made in preparing said com- pleted plans.
