RESOLUTION NO. 4741
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SFECIAL PROVISIONS AND PIANS
FOR THE RECONSTRUCTTON OF SAN ANTONIO AVEN11TIE, FROM
MORTON STREET To TTI1171I STREET, CALLING FOR BIDS AND
DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADNERTISE SAKIMME
WFE',]JETLAS, the City EnGineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for the reconstruction of San Antonio Avenue from Morton Street to Ninth
Street, which are numbered PW 9-52-14 and were filed in the office of the City Clerk
on March 3, 1953;
NO' TEERJ21PORE', BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and 11ans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the porformance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized,
EWOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'clock P. M. on Tuesday, March 172 1953, for the
furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and processes,
tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance
with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk,
in the City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on
the outside "Proposal for Reconstruction of San Antonio Avenue .freak Morton St, to
Ninth St.". or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids®
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Ensineer, at his office in the City all, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Imes Star
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of t0s resolution
and of said Specifications and Provisions,
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 3rd day of March, 1953, by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Branscheid, Jones, Sweeney and Pr6sident
Osborn, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: one.
