RESOLUTION NO. 4745
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS
FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF FEACH STREET FROTA MADISON
STIZEET To VIKKINGTON STREET, CALLING FOR BIDS AND
DIRECTIN
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for the reconstruction of Peach Street frMadison Street to Washington
Street, which are numbered PW 3-53-5 and were filed in the office of the City Clerk
on March 3, 1953;
NOW THEREF 01E,, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE CIqY OF ALANEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and plans numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FRUTHER, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and ovisions be, and the same is hereby authorized,
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 O'clock P. M. on Tuesday, March 17, 1953$ for
the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and pro-
,cesses, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in
accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the
City Clerk, in the City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and
plainly marked on the outside "Proposal for Reconstruction of Peach Street from
Madison Street to Washington Street", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and T' Ovisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times -Star
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with tte provisions of this resolu-
tion and of said Specifioations and Provisions,

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alamoda in regular
meeting assembled on the 3rd day of March, 1953, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Branscheid, Jones, Sweeney and president;
Osborn, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
