CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY
THE CITY FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the following described real property situated in the City of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, to wit
Lot 6 in Block A, as shown on the "Map of Damon's West End Tract,
Alameda" -0 (Assessor #s Block 325, Plate- 4, Pearl All.era,
1952-53
tax bill No. 9741,0 and
A strip of land 50 feet wide adjoining said Lot 6 on the south
(tidelands in San Francisco Ray) and designated as Dart of Lot
18 in Section 10, Township 2 South., Range 1i West, Mb.B.M.
(Assessor's Block372, Plate 12 Pearl Allera., 1952-53 tax bill
No. 10331,
has been assessed heretofore for city purposes for the fiscal year 1952-53 and taxes
and penalties levied thereon in the s of $33.46 and $0.98, respectively,, plus $2.00
costs, are uncollected and unpaid* and

WHEREAS, after the time said taxes became a lien on said real property,
to -wit, on March 262 1953, in Book 6985 of Official Records, at page 365, acquired,
and. ever since has been, and now is, owned by the City of Alameda, and has been and.
now is being used for public purposes, and because of such public Ownership Is not
subject to sale for delinquent taxes,*
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RIESOLVEDBY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALA MEL)A, with
the written consent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected taxes
charged or levied for city purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together with
nenalties and costs thereon, be, and the same are hereby.. cancelled., and the Auditor
and Tax Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby authorized and directed to cancel
the same on their respective books.
BE IT FURTIER RESOLVED, anything in this resolution to the contrary not-
withstanding, that this resolution and order shall not be construed as cancelling,,
or authorizing the cancellation of,, any special assessment taxes levied against said
real property by the City of Alameda pursuant to the -provisions of the "Acquisition
and Improvement Act of 1925".
I, Je F. Clark, City Attorney of the City of Alaried.a,, State of California,
do hereby consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected taxes and assess-
ments or penalties and costs thereon, charged or levied for city purposes upon the
real property described in the within resolution.
