Resolution 04769RESOLUTION EO. 4769 CALLING FOR BIDS FOR LEGAL ADVERTISING FOR THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR -THE FISCAL YYEAR 1953-19"' RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFALAM11DA, that said Council will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 Po M, on Wednesday, June 3, 1953, for the publica- tion of all legal advertising of said City during the f1scal year ending June 30, 1954 - Such advertising must be published in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Alameda for a period of not less than one year immediately preceding the making of such bid and having as bona fide paid circulation of at least 2,500 copies. Said advertising shall be in accordance with the following specifications: (1) All advertisements shall be set in solid six -point (nonpareil) type, in coltunns of 24 ems to the line and 144 ems to the square, except that by request of Malar officer authorizing the same such advertisement may be set in such larger type and with such spacing between lines as such officer may direct; (2) Titles and sub -beadings shall be set in six -point capitals (nonpareil), black -face type, or in such larger type as may be specified by the officer authorizing the advertisement. Bidders shall state in their proposals for doing said legal advertising the price per square of 144 ems, set in solid six -point (nonpareil) type, in columns of 214o ems to the line, according to the following schedule: A price per square for the Isla insertion; A price per square for the 2nd insertion; A Drice ner square for the 3rd and for each subsequent -insertion. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk$ in the City Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside "Proposal for Legal Advertising". Contract for such legal advertising, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of said Cityto the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids. The newspaper published by the bidder to whom such contract is awarded shall be known , for the term of such contract, as the "Official Newspaper" of the City for legal advertising. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times -Star, a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of thi i resolution, I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 19th day of May, 1953, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Jones, McCall, Mores! and President Sweeney, (5).
