for resurfacing and repair of asphalt and bituminous pavement for the fiscalyear
ending June 30, 1954, whichSpecifications and avisions are niribered 5-53-'l
and were filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City on May 19, 1953;

the aforesaid Specifications and Provisions, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be,,
and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
EASOLVED, FURTHER, that the perforaance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTFER, that theCouncil of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o1clock P. Y., on Abdnesday, June 3, 1953, for
the furnishing to the City of all labor, material and equipment necessary for re-
surfacing and repairing asphalt and bittuainous pavement in the streets of tho City
of Alameda for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1954, in accordance with sai

Secifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented 'to the City Clerk, in t1le
City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the
outside "Proposal for Repair of Asphalt and BituminousPavement", or similar
designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid.
The right is reservod to rojcct any or all bids.
Said Spocifications and Provisions maybe had by, any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in tho City Hall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in Ghe Alameda Times -Star,
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of tKis resolu-
tion and of said Specifications and Provisions,

It the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City -of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 19th day of Hay, 1953, by the following vote, to wit:

Sweeney, (5).
NOES: None.
