REQUESTING CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES ON PROPERTY
ACQ,UIRED BY THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
WHEREAS,, the following described real property, situated In the City of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, to -wit. -
Parcel 8, Block 37, Map Book 69 - Alice P. Caton
has been assessed heretofore for county purposes and taxes levied thereon are uncollected
and unpaid ($6.27),# and
WHEREAS, after the time said assessment and taxes became a lien on said
parcel of real property, to -wit, on December 15, 1952, the said parcel of real property
was acquired for municipal purposes by the City of Alameda, a municipal corporation,
by Deed recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County on December 15,
1952, in Book 6900 of Official Records, at page 3590, and
WHEREAS, ever since the said 15th day of December, 1952, the said parcel
of real property has been and now is owned by said City of Alameda and has been and
now is being used for public purposes and because of such public ownership is not
subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF .ALA DA that
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda be, and it is hereby, requested to
make its order., and to take such further proceedings as may be necessary, to cause all
uncollected taxes, assessments, penalties or costs charged or levied for county
purposes upon the aforesaid parcel of real property, to be cancelled*"and that a record
of such cancellations be made by the officer or officers having custody of the record
thereof., in accordance with the provisions of Section 1 986 of the Revenue and Taxation
Code of the State of California,
RESOLVED, FURTHER., that the City Clerk forward certified copies of this
resolution forthwith to the Board of Supervisors of said Alameda County,
I., the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alaneda
in adjourned regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of June, 1953, by the following
vote, to wite.
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Jones, McCall., Mores i and President
Sweeney, (5).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None,
