WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for the reconstruction of Ninth Street from San Antonio Avenue to Santa
Clara Avenue, numbered PINT 2-54-2 and filed in the office of the Cit; Clerk on April.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the
aforesaid Specifications.,,Special Provisions and Plans., numberedafore-
said, be, and the same are w b y approved and adopted.
FURTHER,RESOLVED the performance
qaid Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
AESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up,to the hour of 8:05 o'clock P. M. on Tuesday2 May 4o 1954, for the
furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor., materials, machinery tools and equip-

fications t Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall,
in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside "Proposal
for Reconstruction of Ninth Street from San Antonio Avenue to Santa Clara Avenue". or
similar designation.
Contract., if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda,, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on
application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Tines -Star
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution
and of said Specifications and Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing; Resolution was duly
and regularly- introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 20th day of April, 1954, by the following; vote, to wit
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Jones, McCall, Moresi and President
Sweeney, (5).
