CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON' PROPERTY ACQUIRED
BY TME CIM' FOR YUNICIPAL PURPOSES
11N1,E2EAS, the foilowin7 described real property situated in the City M"
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, to -wit:
Parcel 3, Assessorts Block 325; and
Parcel 13, Assesso&2 Block 372,
has been assessed heretofore for city purposes for the fiscal year 95
1953-1L and
taxes levied thereon in the scam u
m of 187.82 and penalties in the scum of'05.27'remain
uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said taxes becane a lien on said real property,
to -wit, an November 23, 1953, said real property was, by Judgment of the Superior
Court of the State of California, in and for the County of Alameda, dated November
23, 1953, action No. 251074, acquired, and ever since has been, and now is, owned
by the City of Alameda, and has been and now is he inn used for public purposes, and
because of such public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE !T RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TlP, CITY OF ALAYE1.)A, with
the written consent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected taxes
charged for levied for city purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together with
penalties and costs thereon, be, and the same are hereby, cancelled, and Me Auditor
and Tax Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby authorized and directed to cancel
the same on their respective books.
BE !T F7RTHER RESOLVED, anything in this resolution to the contrary not-
withstanding, that this resolution and order shall rot be construed as cancelling,
or authorizing the cancellation of, anT special assessment taxes levied against said
real property by the City of Alameda Pursuant to the provisions of the "Acquisiticn,
and Improvement Act of 1925".
I, J. P. Clark, City Attorney of the City of Alameda, State of California,
do hereby consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected taxes and assessments
or penalties and costs thereon, charged or levied for city purposes upon the real
property described in the within resolution.
