Resolution 04848RE'SOLUTION NO. 118h.8 CANCELLT ING CITY TAXES ON PROPERTY' ACQUIRED BY TITS CITY FOR MUNICIPAL PETRPOSES WE,IREAS, the following described real property situated in the City of Alaned.a, County of Alameda, State of California, to -wit: Parcels 53 and 511-, Assessor's Block 253, known as 1508 and 1514 St. Charles Street, has been assessed heretofore for City purposes for the fiscal year 1953-54 and taxes .P levied thereon in the sura of $94.58, of which si,,Lm ;;?278 38 has been paid; that the balance, $67.20 renains uncollected and unpaid; and WI-M4REAS, after the time said taxes became a lien on said real -property, to -wit, on October 20., 1953, said. real. property was, by Deed recorded in,the office of the County Recorder o ' f Alameda County on October 20., 1953, in Book 7158 of Official Records, at page 125, acquired, and ever since bas been, and now is, owned by the City of Alameda, and has been and now is being used for public plurposes, and because of such public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT REI-SOLITED BY THE COUNCIL OF T CITYOF ALAMEDA, with the written consent of the City Attorney attached hereto,, that all uncollected, taxes charged or levied for city purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together with penalties a -rid costs thereon, be., and the same are hereby., cancelled, and the Auditor and Tax Collector cf the City of Alameda are hereby authorized and directed to cancel the sax -,e on their respective books.
